Battersea Day Nursery is designed to accommodate up to 79 children from 3 months to 5 years. We are open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 6.30pm and also offer half term and summer term places. Within 10 minutes of Clapham Junction, the nursery is convenient for commuters, and is also ideally located for walks to Battersea Park or to the local library (with parental consent).

We have four bright, colourful and spacious rooms. Each room has its own nappy-changing and toilet facilities and is well-equipped with age-appropriate toys and resources. Continuous provision and free-flow allows children to access all areas and follow their own interests.

Our Baby Room provides a calm and homely environment for children aged 3 months to 14 months old. We can accommodate up to 10 babies. The routines of the Babies’ are met to the best of our ability, in partnership with the parents. We also provide a wide variety of toys and activities designed to stimulate babies’ sensory explorations. This rooms also has a separate sleep room and milk kitchen.

Our Toddler Room is bright and colourful and accommodates up to 12 children aged 14 months to 2 years. Our planned activities along with our toys and resources are designed to enhance children’s walking and balancing, language, creative and emotional development.

Our Nursery Room can accommodate up to 24 children aged 2 to 3 years. The children have the opportunity to develop their learning and development skills through quality play experiences such as creative play and role play.

Our Pre-School room is colourful and attractive, with displays of the children’s work. We encourage children to follow their own interests by allowing them to select their own toys and resources. Planned activities help children develop communication, language and literacy skills required prior to starting school.

Our highly qualified, experienced staff team is multi-cultural, reflecting the local community. In addition, we have access to bank staff who are familiar with our procedures and policies, whom we employ in the event of staff absences.

We prepare fresh, nutritional meals onsite from Asquith’s renowned recipes. We also cater for any dietary requirements and preferences.

Outside, there is a large, secure garden, which is rare for London nurseries. We have a climbing frame on a soft surface and a soft play area, allowing children to explore and play freely, in complete safety.
