We are currently undergoing a refurbishment that will benefit staff, parents and more importantly, the children. £80,000 has been spent as part of a £1 million investment by Asquith Day Nurseries on refits and resources for the nurseries.

We have had a wide range of exciting new resources and features designed to enhance childrens' experience at the nursery:

- Refurbished Nursery and Staff Rooms
- Improved internal lighting for a brighter environment
- Improved external lighting and perimeter fencing for even better security
- New interactive whiteboards in Pre-School and Nursery

Our garden has also seen improvements offering many new features:

- Wooden climbing apparatus
- Planting and digging boxes
- Natural wooden playhouse
- New safety surface in the baby garden
- Covered external shaded areas for all weather play

Dulwich Day Nursery is based in a beautiful converted church. Our busy, well-organised nursery takes children from 3 months to 5 years old and is open from 7.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. With ample parking and near three stations with direct train lines into central London (Tulse Hill, West Dulwich and West Norwood), and only five minutes' walk from West Norwood High Street, the nursery is ideal for commuters.

At Dulwich Day Nursery we recognise that every child is a unique child and our qualified and experienced staff team work closely with parents to ensure their child’s individual needs are met in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Inside, each room is well-equipped with furniture and age-appropriate resources providing a cosy, stimulating and safe environment that enriches the development of each child. Continuous provision and free-flow allows children to move freely around the indoor and outdoor environments, accessing all areas and following their own interests.

Our cosy, homely Baby Room is designed to accommodate babies’ aged 3 months to 12 months. Our planned, daily activities are designed to stimulate babies’ sensory explorations and we ensure that their life at nursery closely mirrors life at home.

Our Toddler Room is designed for children aged 12 months to 2 years. A wide variety of planned activities, along with our toys and resources, enhance children’s walking and balancing, and creative and emotional development.

Our bright and colourful Nursery Room provides a stimulating environment for children aged 18 months to 3 years. The children have access to a wide variety of sensory, creative and physical activities designed to enhance their individual development stages.

Our light and airy Pre-School Room accommodates children aged 26 months to 5 years. The room offers children plenty of opportunities to investigate new ideas and work towards their own individual development targets. There are a wide variety of resources, including early writing, mathematics and science areas, a creative area, cosy story area, interest tables and a computer area designed to prepare children for the transition to school. Visits to the Lambeth Ability Centre are organised for the Pre-School children.

Our meals are freshly prepared on the premises by our qualified chef, following the menus designed by Asquith. A snack bar of fruit, milk and water is also available between meals. We ensure that all children’s dietary requirements and preferences are met and they have a well balanced and healthy diet. Staff eat with the children at each meal time to demonstrate table manners and the children are encouraged to develop their independence and self help skills by serving their own meals. Our chef holds weekly cooking lessons with the Nursery Room and Pre-School Room children and monthly for the Toddler Room children.

Outside there is a small but well-equipped garden where children of all ages can play safely. With a lawn area, a climbing frame and slide on a soft surface, the children have plenty of opportunities for fresh air and physical play.

Regular social events are organised throughout the year for both parents and children, including four parents' evenings, sports day, a Christmas party, and cheese and wine evenings.

Five star EHO rating (2009) for food safety and hygiene.
