Hendon Day Nursery is ideal for commuters, just around the corner from Hendon Central tube station. The nursery welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years, whom are cared for by our dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic staff.

Inside, you will find four bright, spacious rooms well equipped with toys and resources appropriate for each age group. In addition, the children are provided with a range of activities planned on a day-to-day basis, by their Key Person who target each child’s individual needs. Continuous provision and free-flow play allows the children to access all areas and following their own interests.

Our Baby Unit provides a homely atmosphere for up to 12 babies aged 3 months to approximately 15 months. We follow each individual babies’ routine and ensure that they are safe, happy and stimulated. The babies also have a separate cosy sleep room.

Our Toddler Unit can take up to 15 toddlers aged approximately 15 months to two years. The room is divided into two areas – a creative area for the children to explore a variety of malleable activities such as sand, water and messy play, while the other offers a quiet, cosy area for relaxing stories and puzzles, a physical play area, musical instruments and much more.

Our large, bright Nursery Room can accommodate up to 23 children aged 2 to 3 years. The room is set up into different areas which allow the children to choose activities and resources of interest to them, developing their independence. We offer a wealth of rich, stimulating activities and we constantly add new resources to ensure all children’s needs are met.

Our Pre-School Room can accommodate up to 23 children aged 3 to 5 years. The room is divided into the six areas of learning providing a wide variety of activities and resources designed to enhance children’s development. We provide the children with the opportunity to practice emergent writing, mathematics and communication skills that will help them in their transition to school.

Our nursery also offer School Days which is where you have the option for us to care for your children in any of our rooms for the length of the school day, from 9.00am till 3.00pm. This enables you to match up your childcare with other children you may have attending full-time school.

Our newly extended and refurbished garden offers plenty of opportunities for fresh air and physical activities. Children of all ages can play safely in the garden with a variety of equipment. Babies have their own enclosed garden with artificial grass where they can crawl and explore safely with a variety of age appropriate activities to encourage growth and development. There is a larger area for children to run and play, with a separate, safe area for the Pre-School children to free flow in and out of the garden as they choose. We also have new climbing equipment on a soft surface, a large playhouse, planting areas, and two water features for the children to enjoy.

We are keen to ensure all the children's needs are met, and have therefore implemented our nutritional menus with a vegetarian option. We also offer an exclusive Kosher menu, prepared for us by a local Kosher delicatessen, following our recipes to ensure they are free from any artificial ingredients. We follow strict guidelines to ensure the food is kept Kosher until the child has eaten it. Children are encouraged to develop their independence at meal times by self serving their own meals. Staff eat with the children at each meal time to demonstrate table manners and social skills.
