At Elizabeth Terrace Day Nursery you will find relaxed, happy children and a fun and friendly atmosphere. The nursery is open between 7.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday and is registered to take up to 47 children from 4 months to 5 years old. We are conveniently located within 5 minutes walk of Eltham Train Station and the town centre.
We have three large, bright and stimulating rooms equipped with a wide variety of toys and play equipment for children of all ages. Continuous provision and free-flow allows children to access all areas and follow their own interests. Our qualified and experienced staff team plan a range of stimulating and enjoyable activities to enable each child to develop to their full potential. All staff hold a Level 2 qualification or above.
Our Baby Room is set across two rooms and designed for babies aged 4 months to 2 years. The room is well equipped with messy play, water and sand trays, and a book corner. We also have a separate milk kitchen and nappy changing facility within the room. Our staff team are dedicated to meeting and following each babies’ routine to create a “home from home” feel where possible.
Our Toddler Room accommodates children aged 2 to 3 years. The room is divided up into cosy and quiet areas, physical play areas, and creative and messy play areas where children are encouraged to select their own resources to play with. The children can also take part in daily activities designed to develop their learning and development skills.
Our large, busy Pre-School Room provides a stimulating environment for children aged 3 to 5 years. The children have access to a wide variety of equipment, including a computer. We encourage children to become independent, and to develop their communication, language and literacy skills required prior to starting school.
We have a dedicated chef within the David Lloyd Club kitchen who prepares our meals from Asquith’s renowned recipes. We serve a wide variety of hot and cold meals. We can also and cater for dietary requirements and preferences.
Outside, our spacious garden offers plenty of opportunities for exploration and play with a climbing frame, a sandpit and a planting area where children can join in the planting of flowers, fruit and vegetables.
