Healthcare
Prescribed Medication
Only authorised persons within the nursery may administer medication to your child.

Non-Prescribed Medication
Non-Prescribed medicines can be authorised for teething, mild skin conditions and allergies such as hayfever, fever relief and mild eye inflammations/infections. These will only be administered if you give your permission.

Notifiable Diseases
We will notify the Health Protection Agency immediately of any suspected outbreak of a notifiable disease and you will in turn be notified if your child is in a nursery that has been affected.

Long Term Medication
A Care Plan will be completed in consultation with you as a parent/carer and a medical professional.

Complex Medical Needs
A meeting will be arranged prior to your child starting nursery to discuss needs and arrangements for medication to ensure that the staff team have sufficient information to meet your child's individual medical requirements.
