our consultant paediatrician
Dr Andy Raffles is a Consultant Paediatrician (Child Health Specialist) who works in the NHS in Hertfordshire. He works with our nurseries, supporting staff and parents, to provide the highest level of healthcare advice to Asquith.
He has many years’ experience as a consultant in the field of child illness and is particularly interested in the needs of younger children with respiratory or allergic conditions. He is a holistic practitioner and is experienced in caring for children with special needs, having worked closely with local authority departments of Education and Social Services.
He has written extensively for medical journals and for mother and baby magazines, as well as contributing to several books on mother and baby care. He has also had a radio series called Nappy Hour.
Dr Raffles also brings with him a wealth of management experience, most notably in
the organisation of emergency services for sick children.
